
About the Role
Atikameg Child & Family Services Society is a Delegated First Nation Child & Family Organization that was
created to promote a healthy and self-sustaining community, utilize a holistic (body, mind, and spirit)
approach in meeting the needs of the children, youth, and families from Whitefish Lake First Nation. The
Atikameg Child & Family Services Society’s main office is in Atikameg, Alberta with a sub-office located in
Edmonton, Alberta.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, and functional reporting to the Executive Director of Atikameg Child and
Family Services Society, the Finance Reporting Specialist prepares, analyzes, and develops financial
statements, reports, and presentations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. The
role provides insights to support decision-making and may also be involved in forecasting, budgeting, and
analyzing financial trend within Atikameg Child & Family Services Society.
Requirements
Duties:
Process and submit monthly DCI invoices to funders for reimbursement;
Prepare financial reports as required by funders;
Develop internal financial documents that support data analysis, budget planning, and budget
forecasting for all Atikameg Child & Family Services Programs;
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, presentations, and updates for the Atikameg Child
& Family Services Society Management Team and Executive Board;
Assist the Finance Team in the annual audit process and the ISC financial review;
Support the maintenance of recording systems for effective monitoring and information gathering for
management;
If required, process invoices for payment, ensuring timely cheque issuance; and
Working closely with the Finance Team to ensure that all reporting requirements are met.
The Finance Reporting Specialist is a key team member and may be asked to carry out additional duties
and activities related to the effectiveness and successful operations of the Atikameg Child & Family
Services Finance Department.
Qualifications:
A post-secondary diploma or degree in financial or business administration; and
At least 2 years of experience using the QuickBooks accounting program.
Additional Requirements:
Current and valid Alberta driver’s license;
Child & Youth Information Module (CYIM) and Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) clearances;
Ability to speak and/or understand the Cree language a strong asset.

Atikameg Child & Family Services Main Office located in Atikameg, Alberta
Some duties may be completed using remote technologies
